10:32 — Barilla says: Passive Pasta cooking saves up to 80% CO₂ emissions. I don’t know if that’s true. What I do know is, we’ll definitely figure it out with our pots. Definitely worth a try. (Found at happybuddha1975.de)

22:40 — I fineshed €265m over data protection breach that hit more than 500m users. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp owner has been fined nearly €1bn by EU since September 2021.
I said something like that: haha!

20:10 — I installed a new shell called Warp: https://www.warp.dev. It’s a terminal application written in Rust. Unfortunately, it’s only available for macOS so far. Like with iTerm 2, I’m using the Multi-Prompt Environment Starship (https://starship.rs/) for ZSH. Both Warp and Starship work together quite well.
20:00 — The story about the wristband with the corrupt FIFA is not over yet. DFB investigates legal steps against FIFA. Good so.

12:38 — I am currently reading that Donald “Bad Hair” Trump has had his Twitter account unlocked. We really don’t need the old liar and agitator anymore.
Personally, I have been moving more and more into the Fediverse for a few years now, and in recent weeks, I’ve seriously thought about whether I shouldn’t leave Twitter entirely and look for a Mastodon instance. But which one should you choose?

17:50 — Paper Plane Instructions. Some things never get old. For example: making paper planes. The database “Fold’NFly” offers a range of simple and well-illustrated instructions on how to build true record-breakers yourself. https://www.foldnfly.com/
I already know what I’ll be trying out in the office next week. Of course, only during lunch break 😄

15:28 — We are 8 billion people. That’s remarkable, but how do we feed all these people? What paths will the many new people take? Especially in Africa and Asia it will be more. But that is not the problem. The actual problem are various groups. If everyone lived like Americans, we would probably need five Earths.
07:20 — Rain and darkness at 10°C - We’re facing a cold and rainy weekend. Elon Musk has written to his employees that they have to decide whether they want to work for him or not. I’m quite curious about how this will go today. Whether it will influence the operation of Twitter, I can’t say. What didn’t function for a short time was the 2FA, because the technicians working there were fired.

21:31 — Scrolling through the solar system. What if the moon was just a pixel on your own computer screen? Through the project “Pixelspace” you can explore space and its dimensions scale model in front of the screen. First realization: The solar system is gigantic big. Josh Worth - Pixelspace Solarsystem

21:14 — Is that not now, or? The Russians should stop operating so close to the “enemy” NATO. It can also be that the air defense has changed direction. At least say the generals and Thomas Wiegold

13:43 — Here for this blog I’m using Python Flask and it in turn uses several libraries from other users. Can you really always be sure? Can you always check all packages and dependencies? As long as it’s open-source anyway. But who actually does that? US Army iOS app among thousands that unknowingly used Russian code
09:01 — Sunny ☀️ at 8 °C I’m waiting for Black Friday and have already added a few things to my shopping cart and various watch lists. I’d like to renew my NAS, as the Synology DS215j is really getting old and the hard drives have just over 50,000 operating hours. That may not be much, and maybe I’ll use the plates first again, but a new, faster and more powerful device would be nice.

13:50 — Weekend radio satire: Murder to five: “A drowned, decapitated corpse - naked in the top of a pine tree? That’s something I’d solve between hot chocolate with a shot and a cigarette in the bathtub,” says Detective Chief Inspector Brahms (Dietmar Bär). His ego is big and he enjoys clearing up the most complicated murder cases. WDR 3 Crime Satire

08:20 — Partly cloudy at 10 C
I watched the ZDF documentary about Qatar and the World Cup yesterday. Geheimsache Katar (ZDF). I won’t be watching the World Cup. The question, which not only I, but probably many others ask themselves is, why ZDF still wants to broadcast the World Cup live on television?

07:28 — Partly cloudy at 12 °C - Good morning. It’s always nice to see that many apparently got their driver’s license as a gift. Some behavior on the roads suggests no good nursery.

07:30 — Light rain at 13.7 ºC. - I took out the old paper this morning. The stack in the shed was already so high that we couldn’t put anything else on top of it. So, I packed the car in the rain and held onto the container for recyclable paper on my way to work. We hadn’t collected that much paper yet.

09:26 — Rain at 11 °C - Good morning. Sunday is a day of rest. The guest is just getting ready, but wants to shop one more time before going home. All very nice, but one is also glad to be rid of them again :)
