Keyboards

I had a collection of keyboards in the past. I don’t know why exactly, but I think I speak for numerous people when I say: Programmers and gamers buy quite a few keyboards over the years. My favorite brand was Logitech for a very long time until I discovered the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole. I bought several mechanical keyboards and eventually sold almost all of them, except the Durgod K320, which I still have and use.

Durgod K320

Durgod K320

The Durgod Taurus 320 in space grey with light and dark grey keycaps (and orange accents for ESC and Enter) is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard that looks great and performs well. Built with a durable chassis and high-quality double-shot PBT keycaps, it offers a top-tier typing and gaming experience.

You can get it with different Cherry MX switches to suit your preferences. The keys and macros are customizable using Durgod’s software, and the detachable USB-C cable makes it convenient to take on the go. It’s an excellent choice for gamers and coders seeking a high-quality, straightforward setup.

Logitech G213

The Logitech G213 is a full-sized membrane gaming keyboard that’s both functional and durable. It features tactile, spill-resistant keys, ideal for extended gaming sessions and everyday typing. The keyboard also allows RGB lighting customization across five zones, adding a touch of personal flair.

Dedicated media controls enable on-the-fly audio adjustments, while the integrated palm rest enhances comfort during long use. Although it’s not mechanical, the G213 delivers decent key response, making it a solid option for gamers and programmers who want an affordable, reliable, and comfortable keyboard.

My Choice: Logitech G213 Over Durgod K320

I chose the Logitech G213 over the Durgod Taurus K320 mainly because of its slightly lower profile and the built-in wrist rest. The G213’s design makes it more comfortable for extended typing or gaming sessions, and the wrist rest is a valuable addition that the K320 lacks.

While the K320’s mechanical switches and compact design are appealing, the G213’s ergonomic features and practicality ultimately won me over. It’s not as premium as the K320, but it delivers solid performance at a more accessible price point.
